CICAE shares its educational proposals with Pilar Alegría. The minister congratulated the association for its ideas and good spirit to share its proposals with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
Representatives of the Association of Private and Independent Schools? CICAE held a meeting last Friday with the Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Pilar Alegría, and the Secretary of State for Education, Alejandro Tiana, in which they presented their educational proposals at the beginning of the year. The meeting was attended by Enrique Maestu, president of CICAE, Nieves Segovia, vice president, and Elena Cid, general director.
CICAE contributed its evaluations about the efforts of the schools in this period of pandemic and expressed its agreement with the Ministry regarding the objective of prioritizing attendance in this new course.
The directors advanced to the minister and the secretary of state some of the educational trends that will guide the work that the private and independent education sector is undertaking to improve the training of its students and the necessary adaptation to the social and labor reality. In this sense, they emphasized the importance of the autonomy of these schools so that they can continue with their commitment to pedagogical research and the implementation of innovative solutions in their educational projects.
They also defended the importance of recognizing the work for the country’s education carried out by the three networks that make up the Spanish educational system : public, concerted and independent private.
